At Smart Service Dog, that journey starts long before a dog is placed with a handler. It begins with careful breeding and selection, early socialisation, months of training, dedicated volunteers, professional support, and a community that believes in independence, dignity, and inclusion.
Love My Journey is our Giving Tuesday–inspired campaign that invites the public to walk alongside us on this path — to see, support, and celebrate the incredible process of turning potential into purpose.
What Is Love My Journey?
Love My Journey is a storytelling and community engagement project that highlights the real journeys of our service dogs — from puppyhood through training, and ultimately into partnership with a person living with a disability.
It’s about more than dogs.
It’s about:
- Building independence
- Creating access and safety
- Supporting human dignity
- And reminding people that life-changing work takes time, care, and compassion
Through social media, live activations, and community events, Love My Journey allows people to follow along, learn, and actively participate in making these journeys possible.

In March 2026, Love My Journey will come alive in a fun, interactive way. Members of the public will be invited to find us at participating pet stores, follow clues on social media, and engage directly with our team and dogs in training.
The first person to find us at each activation will win a gift hamper — generously supported by our sponsors — but the real prize is awareness, connection, and community involvement.
